CUPS printer installation
Unfortunately, some of the systems used by the faculty’s employees are quite old.
A major system update might be required in order to use the faculty’s print server.
In such case, please contact the IT administrator of the institutes at helpinst@mimuw.edu.pl.
To add a printer in Linux systems, you should use a web browser. CUPS server should be managed using a web
browser. The printing application of the operating system is only an overlay for the CUPS configuration. Printers added
in the web browser’s interface will also be visible in the operating system applications.
Below you will find an example configuration for the lp4150a
printer. Please first read the information
in the Basic Information tab.
