For graduates

After graduation, student accounts are not deleted. They can be used indefinitely - the condition is active use of the account.

However, the available disk space changes significantly, aliases are removed, shell access is blocked.

To browse your files, use any sftp client. To log in, use a central password and a login built from initials and index number (detailed information - here). The sftp server is students.mimuw.edu.pl, port 22 (same as ssh). The amount of available disk space can be checked with the web mail client mail-students.mimuw.edu.pl for both desktop (second column from the left, bottom) and mobile (just click on the directory icon).

An account can be deleted at the request of a graduate. Accounts of those who are deleted from the list of students will be removed permanently. If you want to keep your account active, you must log in at least once every six months with a sftp client (sftp, WinSCP, Filezilla, any sftp client built into the desktop environment, etc.) or IMAP (https://mail-students.mimuw.edu.pl, Thunderbird, mutt, etc., as long as the messages remain on the students' server). The condition for keeping an active account is also not to exceed the allowed disk space. Accounts of people from whom spam is sent are immediately deleted. Please ensure that the password is sufficiently complex.

In the case of both exceeding the quota and not logging in for a period of 6 months, a notification email will be sent 14 days before the account is deleted.
